Tim Kilcoyne (Timbo Slice)
Psychology and English double major at Central Michigan University from Hudsonville, Michigan
Years at Camp: 2
Position this Summer: COALS Specialist and Bunk Counselor
Favorite Camp Memory: I would have to go with the deer that gave birth during the night on our overnight and we all thought it was a bear that wanted to eat us. We armed ourselves with silverware and everything. (For the record I still believe that there was a deer AND a bear there)
Advice for first year staff: Make as many friends with other staff as possible. Seriously, they’ll end up being some of the best friends you’ll ever have and you’ll have a free place to stay in cities all over the world. Plus we’re all awesome so everyone gets along. It’s great.
One thing you’re going to do this summer that you’ve never done before: I’m most def gonna run an iCan Irish Dance since I took a class here in Ireland on how to do it. Easiest “A” ever or what?
Advice for a first time camper: Try new things you’ve never done before. There’s so much to do at camp and so many things you can come to realize you love. All you have to do is get out there and try first.
